Emilie Biggerstaff – Director of APG Distribution Systems (APG DS) is a graduate of the American University in Paris where she studied Business and Finance. Employed by APG DS since 2005, she became the Director of the company in 2010. In addition, she is the Executive Product Director of APG Network’s distribution products ABCS, AACS and NDC Platform. In 2016, she also became the Director of APG Airlines.

Jordan Karamalakov – Branch Manager of International Air Transport Association (IATA) office in Bulgaria (2000 – 2012). Jordan has worked in the field of airline industry since 1979. He used to be Market manager in Balkan Airlines and representative in Copenhagen. In 2000 Jordan established an IATA branch in Bulgaria. He used to be Chairman of Board of Directors of Bulgaria Air. Since 2012 Jordan has been a Regional Manager of IATA for Central Asia.

Sergiu Sarasan – Aviation Solutions Manager for Eastern Europe. Sergiu is part of IATA’s team since 2008. He graduated from Economics in Bucharest in 1999 and pursued a career in aviation immediately after. He has a strong background in air cargo mostly, acquired during his various positions in the air cargo supply chain from ground handling, cargo sales and operations, courier business, etc. At IATA, Sergiu is responsible for the commercial products and sales as well as for the all the cargo projects in Eastern Europe.

Ivo Marinov – Director Sofia Tourism Administration in Sofia Municipality. Ivo was born in 1963 in Sofia. In 1990 he graduated from Economic University, Varna as Master in Economics and Organization of International Tourism. Ivo has participated in various trainings and specializations for tourism marketing and management, developing strategies and policy-making in the field of tourism in USA, Denmark and Japan. He started his professional career in 1990 in the private sector. Since 1995 has been working in varies state-owned tourism institutions. Ivo took his current position as Director Sofia Tourism Administration in Sofia Municipality in 2014.

Ognian Blagoev – Executive Director of APG Bulgaria. He has more than 25 years professional experience in aviation industry. Ognian gas worked in various positions in the Commercial Department of Balkan Airlines and used be a commercial representative in Kuwait and Qatar. Since 2001 Ognian is Executive Director of APG Bulgaria, exclusive member for Bulgaria of APG Network. APG Bulgaria represents 16 foreign airlines in BSP Bulgaria.

Alexander Bogoyavlenski – Leading consultant in digital and corporate communications with more than 20 years of experience in media, public relations, information technologies and aviation. Currently is Managing Partner at digital agency Trinitix LLC and member of Hewlett-Packard’s Global Digital Marketing Council. Until 2009 he is Manager Strategic Outsourcing Communication for EMEA at HP. Formerly part of President Petar Stoyanov’s communication team and journalist at BNR, BBC Worldwide and Radio Free Europe. Master in International Relations in Sofia and London. Graduated Airline Management Masterclass in 2012, author and host of Airshow – the only broadcast program dedicated to aviation in Bulgaria, produced by Bulgaria ON AIR.

Daniela Stoeva, PhD – Member of the Board of ABTTA and General Manager of Tandem Travel. Daniela finished her higher education in the field of Tourism and Project Management. In 2014 Daniela got her PhD degree, dissertation title – Transnational culture tourism routes in the Eastern Balkans – development potential and economic impact. Daniela started her professional experience in the field of tourism in 1993 and co-founded her own travel company (Tandem Travel) in 1996. Currently, Daniela is Member of the Board of ABTTA and General Manager of Tandem Travel.

Michal Polak – Regional Director of Sabre (GDS). Michal is responsible for Sabre’s business development in Eastern European countries. With a great passion for travel industry and more than twenty years experience, Michal has accumulated experience in TMC operations, air service development, change- as well sales- & revenue management. He joined Sabre in 2014 as Country Manager for Poland and 2 years later he took over this role for Bulgaria as well. Before he worked for Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) on various positions. Graduate of the Krakow University of Economics where he studied Management in Tourist & Human Resource.

Filip Filipov – VP, Product Management. Filip is VP of Product Management at Skyscanner, where he leads a range of teams focusing on the supplier side of the marketplace. Filip also heads up our Sofia office, an engineering hub, with a team of over 30. Filip joined Skyscanner in 2013 as a strategist in the Edinburgh office. Previously, Filip held a variety of senior management positions at Travel Capitalist Ventures and Everbread Limited as well as he was a strategy consultant with Opera Solutions in New York and London.

Verginia Lazarova, PhD – Sales Manager and ABCS coordinator at APG Bulgaria. In 2014 Verginia in parallel graduated her Master degrees in Financial Management and International Tourism. In May 2017 she finished her PhD in Economics and Management (Tourism) with dissertation “Role of Global Airline for the Tourism Industry”. Verginia is part of APG Bulgaria’s team for the last 10 years and took various jobs until 2014 when she became head of Sales team.
